Spiritual Care

Central to our Mission, Vision and Values we aim to support the spirituality of our residents. To assist in doing this St. Paul’s has a chaplain on site that is available to all the staff, residents and their families. The chaplain also works closely with pastors of churches in the area to provide regular church services here in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Homes Chapel as well as a regular bible study.
We also work with the pastors of our resident’s home churches to provide continued spiritual support from their church family. To further support our resident's spirituality our chaplain or a member of our pastoral volunteer team are available for regular, personal pastoral visits. There are also a number of other staff that are willing and able to personally support the spiritual needs of our residents.
Here at St. Paul's Lutheran Homes we also have a close relationship with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church right across the street which also provides regular spiritual care visits to some of our residents.
While St. Paul’s Lutheran Homes was founded and is operated with Lutheran values and ethos there are many Christian denominations represented here as well as residents with no faith or from other various other faiths. Our goal is for the spirituality of each resident to be supported and cared for in a way that is meaningful to them.
