Aged Care Testimonials

To all the lovely staff at St Paul’s Lutheran Homes Hahndorf A little note to say a big thanks! I’m so very grateful that God blessed dad in his twilight years by providing such a wonderful nursing home where he received the best care anyone could hope for. He used to always say to me that the care was very good and that all who looked after him were lovely and that the food was good too! I have many fond memories of dads time in this home and will always cherish them. Thank you so very much for all your love and care towards dad especially, but also towards me over the nearly eight years he was here. “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon and be gracious to you; and the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace”. God bless you all

“Our family would like to “Thank You” all for the care that you gave Mum not just for the last 5 years but especially in the last couple of months. While it was a stressful time for us your care and dedication both to her and us is sincerely appreciated.”

“Excellent two week stay. The staff and carers were friendly, helpful and always willing to assist in any manner no matter how small. The company was lovely something I now miss. Your activity program is great I had little idea that I would be involved in so many activities.”

Respite Resident

(Resident) was very appreciative of the extra care and kindness provided by (carer) when she wasn’t well. The carer was gentle and really looked after her well.

To each and every staff member at St Paul’s How can I ever thank you enough for the care you have taken of mum (and me!) over the last four years? As I said at Mum’s service, not only has St Paul’s been the ‘brick’s’ forming a protective and safe place for (mum), but it has also been the heart – providing a very caring, loving and supportive environment for her. Thank you all so very much. Best wishes

Dear staff and volunteers The last five years have been some of the happiest years of my father’s life due to the wonderful staff, volunteers and residents at St Paul’s. The Lifestyle team provided endless recreational opportunities, allowing my father to participate in a variety of activities and make new friends. The nurses and carers gave my father exceptional care, not only in his final weeks, but throughout his time at St Paul’s. Pastor Julie helped my father to find his voice and he was still singing only days before he died. I visited my father weekly for nearly five years and daily in his final weeks. Every time I saw him, he said ‘you couldn’t find a better place than St Paul’s’. My father will leave a huge hole in our lives, but we are left with memories of a very happy, optimistic man, who enjoyed everyday and was continually grateful for his very fortunate life. Thank you all for the special part you played in the last five years.

To all the wonderful staff working in all areas of St Paul’s Our heartfelt thanks to you all for your care and the affection given to our mother/grandmother over the past 4 years. Even though her eyesight was poor, she knew you all by name and appreciated your friendship and sharing time for a chat, a joke and a laugh. Your caring over her last few years contributed to her quality of life and made her time with you so much more bearable. Best wishes to you all.
