St. Paul’s offer respite care services on a planned and emergency basis. This assists individuals or where possible, couples, in short-term care (from a min of 14 days and up to 63 days per financial year) and/or the transition to residential care. The medical officer for the resident can call during this time if necessary and possible. Residents entering respite care need only bring personal items of clothing and medications as room accommodation features interior designed fixtures and fittings, built-in wardrobe and a spacious private en-suite. People staying in respite can expect the same quality care as our permanent residents and are encouraged to take part in our daily activities. We suggest booking as far in advance as possible, as our respite accommodation attracts a high demand.
Residents enjoy contemporary room accommodation including a built-in wardrobe and spacious private ensuite bathroom with contemporary vanity, easy access shower and toilet. The neutral interior-designed furnishings allow residents to incorporate their own furniture into the decor to personalise their living space. Emergency call button provides peace of mind to residents and their families and telephone connection (at an additional cost) complement the comfortable modern accommodation offering.
To receive aged care facility services an individual needs to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). Once an individual has had an assessment, they may be entitled to access residential aged care services, these services can be offered permanently or as respite.
